Desc: Common Ground: Survivors: Directed by Don Cato. When Jewish survivors of the widely known atrocities of World War II are introduced to the Chinese survivors of the lesser-known acts at the hands of the Japanese during the Sino-Japanese Occupation, similarities were discovered. These two groups, living and aging side by side in Forest Hills and Kew Gardens Queens never suspected that their lived experiences so closely resembled each other. Coming together to share, to listen and to learn created a space for shared memories and a discovery of unsuspected common ground.
